Tatenda Shamiso is a multidisciplinary artist who creates work as a writer, director, performer, dramaturg and musician. He is also a current guest lecturer and former associate researcher/artist in the Theatre and Performance Department at Goldsmiths, University of London.
As a transgender artist with cultural origins from Zimbabwe, Belgium, the United States and Switzerland, themes of community, identity and change are central to his work, particularly in terms of finding joy and nuance in queer and diasporic stories.
